We had to walk to school, up hill, both ways!

Just 200 meters (660 feet) down the road from us, is the Bunnanaddan National School. The school opened prior to 1840 and was decommisioned in 2002. This according to my neighbor, who attended the school prior to it’s closing. What’s amazing is how fast the building has circum to the fast growing vegatation of the area. Here are some recent photos of the structure. Also, a link at the bottom to a website dedicated to the disused school houses throughout Ireland.
